[The girls aren't close enough for him to actually give them baking advice, so he pulls on Shirley's arm to indicate they're taking a "shortcut" home. It's a bit of a longer route, but with way less foot traffic.

He figures, it's worth the sacrifice to get them home without fifty million people asking him for advice.]
Is that even legal, by the way? For me to be a "town baker" like that?
