[Closed] To Right These Mistakes
[The outcome of an arduous battle.]
[King Richard makes his way slowly among the men and women of the knights - some resting, some being treated by members of the relief organization. Fortunately Cheria and her people were swift in coming to their aid, and yet clearing out this particular nest has proven the biggest challenge to date.]
[Even now, months after his return to Barona and formal declaration to lead the knights of the realm in driving away the threat the Nova monsters pose to Windor and the rest of the world...even now, he seems so far from reaching that goal. The monsters' numbers are decreasing much too slowly, they have been left alone for far too long, and on top of it all other matters demand his attention. The country's debt problem, negotiating borders and reparations, assuring confidences, and yes, eventually he will even have to face that growing pile of letters sent him by nobility around the world urging him to meet with their highly eligible (bright, talented, and incredibly lovely) daughters.]
[Richard lets out a breath - not quite a sigh, nor a laugh - and continues his patrol. He's exhausted, but he cannot allow himself rest. After all, he is in no small way the person responsible for the current state of the world. He won't let himself relax until everything is back in proper order. That is the responsibility he has inherited.]
