[It had to happen eventually: Jaime needed advice from his girlfriend. The Blue Beetle was facing off against this weird magic vampire chick (she called herself "Black Alice?") and while the Scarab normally gave him advice, the Scarab didn't like magic. It wasn't programmed with magic knowledge because its inherent weakness was magic.

(Jaime would've guessed that the Scarab needed to know the intrinsic properties of magic in case, you know, some enemy decided to use lightning magic against him.) Point was, he didn't exactly know how to fight this girl, but Alex might.

Using the Scarab's communication signals, he patches in a phone call to her. Ring-ring, Alex! He just hopes he hasn't caught her at a bad time.]
