[In hindsight, Kon blamed the tea. How else could two normally upstanding citizens defect to the Dark Side and attempt to conquer the world? All of their cliches even came from the List of Evil Overlord Cliches (and how to play them all embarrassingly straight). Problem was, two young budding supervillains couldn't exactly afford an evil lair. That was prime real estate!

So for right now, they had to make do... with the large red barn behind Kon's farmhouse. It had a nice loft with a telescope and a table with chairs, so it wasn't as terrible as it could be. (Kon came here to study when he was feeling particularly anxious.) However, Bessie was still grazing just outside.

Every so often, she'd glance up at the boys as if to say `you young boys aren't the brightest bulbs in the shed.' Now, Kon couldn't communicate with animals, but her stares were starting to irritate him. Halfway through a proposal, he slams his hand down and ignores Bessie for the first time since they'd headed up to the loft.]

We really need a better lair. If I hear Bessie moo one more time... I don't know what I'll do, but it'll be drastic.
